The following are letters I’ve received, or excerpts
from the Guestbook that I’ve chosen to give a response.
I’m
really not trying to change anyone’s mind here – just open them a bit
more.

And yes, sometimes I sacrifice my credibility for
laughs. That’s just the way I am.

The Bible does not tell us that Christians get to
go to Heaven. No one gets to go to Heaven, no matter how good they are ;
) That is a leftover mistaken notion from Catholic tradition, and is not
a doctrine that can be supported by scripture.

All those who die having rejected Jesus Christ … i.e.
Buddhists, pagans etc. do not “automatically go to Hell”.
Again, scripture does not support the existence of Hell as a place souls
go to burn for their sins, like Dante’s Inferno. So, non-Christians can
rest assured, their dearly departed pagan buddies are not roasting in
Hell.

Interestingly enough, the Bible does tell us
NON-HUMAN INTELLIGENT BEINGS INHABIT THE UNIVERSE. Yes, there are
billions and billions of stars, planets and an ever expanding and
evolving universe. Brilliant, isn’t it? It surely has a Divine Plan
behind it all. And despite what uneducated yet well-meaning Christians
have to say about it, the scriptures they supposedly guide their lives
by do say there is intelligent life out there in the universe.

However, it is the nature of this intelligent life
that is the problem.

The Pope, who is by no means the spokesperson for
Christianity (giving as much credence to traditions of man as to that of
the Bible) says that if there is intelligent life out there, we must
evangelize them and bring them into the Catholic Church. That is such a
joke! What makes the pope think that Zeta Reticulans would even WANT to
go to a Christian Heaven (which is a Catholic invention anyway).
Scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is the Kinsman Redeemer, and He
came to save His Kinsman… the sons of Adam. If a being is intelligent,
but not a kinsman of Adam, then why would this being even want to be
redeemed by Jesus? Even if they DID want to, the Alien Grays,
Orangutans, Puppies, Dolphins and other intelligent beings in this
universe are not kinsman of Jesus, and therefore are not capable of
being saved by Him. NOR SHOULD THEY WANT TO BE SAVED BY HIM. That
naughty Pope, he is so greedy. The Pope is the richest man in the world,
untold treasures and a library beyond the fantasies of Solomon are at
his disposal… yet there is still starving in this world, and no cure
for cancer. He could sell a fraction of his jewels and cure world hunger
,but this supposed man of God drives around in his frock in the pope
mobile and lets people kiss his ring like he is some sort of deity on
earth. Disgusting@!

Anyways, enough of the pope… who is not a
Christian nor a spokesman for Christianity.

Don’t be misled by clichs about what a Christian
believes … if it is not supported by scripture it is merely a
tradition of man.

Has anyone seen the episode of the Simpson where Bart
is in Sunday school and grilling the teacher?

“If a man gets his leg chopped off, will the leg
be waiting for him in heaven? If my dog dies, does he go to my heaven or
to dog heaven?”

“There is no dog heaven!”

How presumptuous is that, huh?

Dear Sirs:

While your theory is fun it is not
based in fact. You state that the Bible states that there is only one
earth. This is incorrect. Another assumption you make is that the whole
creation (other planets and stars) other than earth and sun are not
corrupted by evil. This assumption of yours is clearly disputed in the
Bible. The Bible states that ALL OF CREATION is moaning and groaning in
travail until Jesus returns and establishes his kingdom here on Earth.
This includes ALL OF GOD’S CREATION. The pastor you interviewed stated
that he did not believe in life on other planets. Whether or not
intelligent life exists on other planets is totally irrelevant to our
well-being here on Earth. Our well-being is dependent upon the one who
can save us from the evil in the UNIVERSE. This being has visited Earth
and established a way for us to be set free from the bondage of evil
through His own sacrifice. The Bible does allude to other worlds and
also of the existence of other realities within this one. Jesus said,
“the kingdom of Heaven is among you”. The prophet Elijah
opened the eyes of his companion so that he could see the myriads of
angelic beings on horses surrounding them. This realm is always with us
and so is the demonic. The aliens which we encounter in the abduction
reports are violating basic non optional universal principles of decency
and respect for fellow creation by their abduction experiments. These
can only be interpreted as in the realm of evil.

Dear hipc:

You really had me going until
I read your last two sentences! However, I see you've written again:

Dear Sirs:

Theories are nice but they are only
figments of our imaginations. What is really important is reality. All
is not relative. There is a universal standard of good and evil and it
is put forth by the creator who luckily is very, very good.

[email protected]

Dear hipc:

So what you're saying is that
the existence of "the creator" is an absolute fact and NOT a
figment of our imaginations? Do you know something the rest of us don't?
At any rate, it seems you've done a bit more thinking on the subject and
written again. I'll answer your questions along the way:

hipc: Why do men
insist on putting their anthropomorphic spin on everything?

JVSA : I don’t really know.

hipc: Who says
that God cannot have created life elsewhere in the universe?

JVSA: Certainly not me!

hipc: It is not
found in the Bible anywhere that this is so.

JVSA: Really?

hipc: Again the
fact of whether or not intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe
is not important.

JVSA: I’d still sure like to know.

hipc: What is
important is discerning where the intelligent life visiting this Earth
now comes from.

JVSA: OK, so now it does exist, but you’d
like a background check?

hipc: It is
obvious that this creation has existed alongside humankind for many many
millenia.

JVSA: I think you have some agreement there!

hipc: Who know
how many alternate realities exist beside our own?

JVSA: Certainly not me! You’re on a roll now. Go
with it.

hipc: It all
boils down to good or evil. The real question is are these beings good
or evil?

JVSA: Since they are far more advanced than us, I’d
say good. Logically, I’d say peace and good come with wisdom and
intelligence. LOTS of wisdom and intelligence, mind you.

hipc: Is this
important? Ask the abductees themselves. I am sure that they think that
it is important. I also think that they believe that they have been
violated.

JVSA: And I also happen to think that most people
who say they’ve been abducted are a few sandwiches short of a picnic,
but I’m not here to judge. And look! You did it again! Just when you get
on a roll, you go freaky on me at the very end. Jerry Springer tries to
make sense of his chaotic show at the very end by posing his “Final
Thought”. It seems that you do just the opposite.

Heh. You said
“violated.”

Why do people
constantly try to discredit each other, telling each other that they are
narrow minded and not “free thinkers”, that they are not open
to the possibility of another train of thinking. Trying to change others
thinking to your own whether its about GOD or ALIENS is all narrow
mindedness. An open mind is being open to the possibility that others
beliefs and thoughts are as valid as your own. Most cannot claim to be
open to possibilities beyond the restricted parameters set in there own
minds. Its necessary to be “for” the pastor or
“for”.

You should respect each
others thoughts and ideas to aid in your own understanding of where you
are in the universe, and what your purpose is.

Cheers

OK….let’s visualize a
game of tug-o-war. Close-minded me on one side, and the close-minded
religious set on the other. The mud pit in the middle represents “open-mindedness”
in general. Anyway, if I pull a few people toward me – and into the mud
pit of open-mindedness, I will gladly jump in and join them. Then we can
all wallow around in it like a bunch of happy, open-minded pigs.

Okay, I know. That was a
really bizarre analogy. I swear I’m not high.

Dear JVSA:

A point in fact – if
there is life out there, it has yet to be proven. So your site is a
waste of time. And if life is ever discovered, then open the site up.
There are better things to discuss. – Mark

Let’s take your true point and turn it
around to a different true point: “A point in fact – there is God
out there, it has yet to be proven.”  If you ever turn on CNN,
and they announce that God has just landed in the Nevada desert, please
notify me immediately.  As far as discussion goes, I have something
we could discuss!  Why would God make a massive, enormous,
gimantis, INFINITE universe and only put life on one teeny, tiny, eentsy,
weentsy little speck of space dust called Earth?   You’re
talking waste of time? I’m talking waste of space!  Don’t you think
God is a bit more efficient than that?

Dear JVSA:

I love it. Those are
exactly my thoughts coming from your computer! Actually, I have been
doing some soul searching on that very subject.

I am coming to the
conclusion that there must be a layer of Deities that all fall in line
under some supreme force that encompasses all of them and all of us.
It’s like just seeing the local police instead of going to the federal
authorities. But I don’t mean to discount Jesus. It’s just that The
Bible was written for people who didn’t even have vowels in the written
language. It would be like explaining sex to a small child. You sure
wouldn’t use scientific words and explain the process in detail. You
would tell him a story about love and marriage—and then pray they
don’t ask any more questions.

So, I think it is very
important to keep the Bible in perspective and appreciate the fact that
God, in his wisdom, didn’t give them all the details they couldn’t
comprehend.

Excellent concept for a
web page! – Amanda

Dear Amanda:

You make some wise and
interesting points.  Let me remind everyone that back when the
Bible was written, the sky, Earth, Moon, and Sun WERE the universe.
The stars were “The Heavens”.  That’s all anyone
knew, and that’s probably all most people could understand, so I agree
with you on the use of scientific words.  As far as praying that
they don’t ask anymore questions?  Amanda, THEY DON’T!  That
is precisely why this site was started.  Perhaps we will be given
all the “details we can’t comprehend” when God feels we are
ready for them.  And guess where they’ll most likely come from?
Look up. (now imagine the Close Encounters music blaring down
really loudly and then scream.)

That pastor thinks that
the whole world must be Christian. Christians have always felt they must
convert the entire world to Christianity. That would explain events like
the Crusades and the Inquisition. How does this pastor know that he is
right anyway? Because the bible says so? How does he know that the bible
must be right? If he say that the bible was written or inspired by god
that becomes a circular argument. I know that god is real because the
bible says so, and I know the bible is right because god says so. That’s
a circular argument.  – Rox.

This letter is several years old (sometime
in 1998). I wrote this reply way before the South Park episode
with the planet Marklar was televised. (Episode 311:Starvin Marvin in
Space, Original Air Date: 11-17-1999)  If you don't know what I'm
talking about, then just read on. If you do know what I'm talking
about, let me just tell you that I was sitting in my living room high
watching South Park, and when the story got to the part when the
missionaries were trying to raise money to buy a spaceship to get to
Marklar, my jaw hit the fucking floor and stayed there for the rest of
the show and on into whatever it was that came on after South Park.

So if anyone who is involved in any way
with South Park and knows where the writers got the idea for that
episode. Please let me know. I don't want money, I just want to
be able to get on with my life, thanks.

Dear Rox:

You have just given me the
most fabulous idea for a book. (Anyone, please feel free to steal the
idea, but I get dibs on movie and merchandising rights).  A planet
with intelligent life is finally discovered.  We have the
technology to venture to this planet, but it’s never been done before.
The Christian Right tries to pressure NASA into putting a
missionary on board the maiden voyage.  NASA declines, so the
Christian Right decides, through a massive cooperative televangelism
campaign, to build their own spaceship and FILL it with missionaries!
A race between science and religion ensues to see who gets there
first!

Dear Sir:

Satan is in your
website.  He is the father of all lies, and loves the confusion
people like you try to cause with your website.  I just hope your
website turns no one from GOD, and I pray that they realize what a
foolish site it is.

There is no
overwhelming evidence of life in the stars. Stop looking to the stars
for guidance and read the bible and pray for guidance, turn to GOD and
believe in him so you may be helped and saved. GOD BLESS, may you find
JESUS. – Mark (again)

Dear Mark:

First off, my goal is NOT
to confuse people, nor is it to turn anyone away from God.  My goal
is to get people thinking religiously outside the confines of
“modern day” Christianity.  Science has advanced.  Why
shouldn’t religion?  And by the way, science will ALWAYS be
around. Religions come and go.  You see anyone worshipping Zeus or
Quetzelcoatl anymore?  Last I heard, Christianity wasn’t the most
popular religion in the world, so if anyone actually is planning an
update, I suggest you move pretty quickly. The ratings could use a
boost.  You wanna know how to do that? Increase illiteracy.
Historically, that always works.

Oh! And if Satan IS in my
website, he needs to get the hell out because this is a discount hosting
service I’m using, and I have limited space.

Thanks for coming back!

Response to Mark:

I think his ignorance is bespoken in
his plea for JVSA to “Stop looking for to the stars (i.e. Science,
in effect) for guidance,” and crack a Bile, errr Bible and PRAY
that you receive it (Hopefully, God won’t be so busy helping men win
Super Bowls or World Series to do so). My friends, meet Mark…he’s a
marvel because it would appear that he is using absolutely NO REASON
whatsoever. ~Brett

Brett,

You mean if I pray, I can gamble on
sports and win? My goodness! That’s genius! I never thought of that
before! This gives me another fantastic idea! I’m going to open the
Booboowackwack Church of Vegas! The faithful will come into my 24-hour
church, pray for big money, and just like tithing, I get 10% of their
winnings! Oooh! I could even have a confession booth with a webacm!
And showgirls! Thank you, Brett, for giving me such a damn fine idea!
For you, drinks will be on the House!

Hello,

I enjoyed your website. I would like
to elaborate on what someone else said. Christians will prove that they
are right by using the Bible. That is the same as if I did this:

My Bible

1. I am God.

2. What is written in this book is
true and divine.

Now I can say that I am God because it
says so in “My Bible”. How do you know that “My
Bible” is true? It says so in Chapter 2!!!

Anyway, you seem very intelligent. I
love the sense of humor you still manage to convey. Keep it up!

Jenn

Dear Jenn,

Oh! And don’t forget! The boss is always
right!

Hi There,

I have visited your site and i found
it very interesting, and it made me think. I used to think that there
were aliens out there and that they had their own God. But the pastor
you talked to is right, God rules the whole universe, and I don’t think
that there are real aliens out there. They are just merely demons from
hell trying to confuse people about God.  I don’t mean to offend
you by saying this, but it shouldn’t matter if there are aliens out
there anyway. The only thing that matters is having faith and loving
God. I think satan is just making you ask questions about it so it will
confuse you more about God’s ways. Maybe God did intend for aliens to be
out there but even if he did, we can’t understand why because no one can
understand why God does what he does. I am very interested in UFO’s and
sightings and stuff like that so I completely understand why you are so
interested in finding out the answers. The answer is that you may never
know why there are possibly UFO’s out there. Maybe God doesn’t want you
to know.  Feel free to IM me or email me back K? Ta ta and God
bless . ~ Kimmy

Dear Kimmy:

Congratulations on a great letter!  This
is definitely one of my favorites.  If you’ve read my whole site,
you now know two words that make you sound smart.  So far there’s
“geocentric” and “Copernican Theory”. Let’s learn
another one!  The new word is really cool – it’s Xenophobia! (pronounced
zee-no-fo-bee-a) This word translates to “Fear of strangers”.

To assume that all aliens are demons from
hell is a very xenophobic assumption.  Don’t worry, it’s totally
human nature.  For example, the other week, I was walking down the
beach on a gorgeous tropical island (really, I was). I spotted a
beautiful stingray moving through the shallow water, and I stopped to
admire its gracefulness as it glided through the water.  A group of
kids came over to see what I was looking at, and when they saw it was a
ray, a couple of them ran to get sticks so they could kill it.

Why do humans assume that anything alien
is evil?  Again, why would God create an enormous, infinite
universe, put us on a tiny little planet, and then fill the rest of the
vast universe with demons from hell?  I’m sorry, but I believe God
would more likely make a universe and populate it with happiness and
love rather than filling it with demons from hell. Just because they
don’t live here, doesn’t mean they are evil.

By the way, I happen to think that some
of my co-workers and casual acquaintances are demons from hell, but you
don’t see me making any assumptions.

I thought and thought and I’m sure I’ve
got the answer…try this on…All the gunk we call pollution is really
smoke caused by all those demon aliens out there burning Bibles.
🙂

BonniMae

Dear BonniMae,

That explains Los Angeles.

Getting many people to think is
difficult, huh? Like getting them to exercise. People like to take the
path of least resistance since it’s more comfortable for them. Religion
does a lot of the work in providing guidance for people. So does
television. The electronic media is the religion of the future. Joseph
Goebbels and Adolph Hitler understood this. Jesus is on his way out, but
he’s not going out without a fight from his followers. It’s the same old
story since the beginning of time. Jesus will eventually become
mythology, like all religions do. Star Wars is actually a movie about
mythology, including Christianity, as well as aliens. George Lucas
compiled universal themes from all of the past religions and presented
them in such a way that could hold the attention of a mass audience.
However, only the intellectual elite know this about Star Wars. The
common man thinks it’s simply an action packed adventure involving
humans and Aliens. ~Andre

Note to self: Get a job selling
treadmills and stairmasters to lazy Christians. Get Hitler and Goebbels
to do the infomercials. No, scratch that. Get Carrie Fisher and
Chewbacca.

Dear Webmaster,

I would like to quote the dictionary
as I have done for my book called The Mark, The Name, The Number, The
Image. and the word that I am quoting is “generations.”

Generations: The act or process of
bringing into being offspring; the act or process of bringing into
being; orgination; production. A single stage or degree in the
succession of natural descent (Father, son, and grandson are three
generations.)

Next – I quoted the Bibles book of
genesis Chapter 2:4. for my book.

“These are the generations of the
heavens”…Genesis 2:4.

Because the Bible is talking about
creation the words generations is used to express the fact that the
watcher sons of God are telling us that they are including birds, fish,
beasts, deer, bears, all the animals along with man as the generations
that were made out there in the universe along with the generations of
men under the heavens on other planets when they were created.

The key words are generations and
heavens, other generations from the heavens out there in the universe.

Also E=mc2 is the term used that =
Creation, Genesis 1:,2,3,4. a quote from my book.

…”And the spirit of God moved (
c2 ) upon the face of the waters ( m ). And Gog said, Let there be light
( E ): and there was light (energy). And God saw the light, that it was
good;… Genesis 1:2,3,4.

God was happy, it was good – that the
physical and the spiritual were in harmony.

Respectfully, Ed – of Joshua 22:1-34.

Dear Ed,

Isn’t this picture trippy?

the prophecies that were told in the new
testament (revelations) are coming true at this moment. it never
mentioned in the Bible that there were any other beings, it said
“God created man, and it was good.” never anything about
aliens. in revelations, there are prophecies about earthquakes, storms,
fires, and stuff like that. it just seems to me that this is true
because there is no other explanation. The end is coming, and i am
waiting…….bryan

Bryan:

Like it’s gonna say, “And on the
eighth day, God created life on all the other planets too” in the
Bible? Didn’t God just create “The Heavens?” Back then they
didn’t even know what a “planet” was. No one even considered
the possibility of extraterrestrial life. If you ask me, the Bible is
like God’s unauthorized biography. I’m sure it’d be a lot different had
he penned it himself. For more on this subject, try reading God:
The Ultimate Autobiography
by Jeremy Pascall. It’s a fictional
account of the Bible from God’s point of view, and it’s very
entertaining.

Oh, and why why why do we occasionally come
across these people who think that Jesus is coming to Earth? And in
their lifetime, no doubt?

Most people tend to voice their comments
in the Guestbook, but every so often, someone comes along that really
wants to make sure I get their message.

Just because that pastor was a Christian does not mean
he is a Bible expert. With a little study you can see that a Christian
is really not at odds with modern Carl-Sagan-Star-Trek paradigm.

Okay then. I must admit I had already been to the above
website and sent the author a quick link over here just to see his
reaction, and I must say it really surprised me.
