Now I realize that some of those prisoner may have been trying to kill US troops at some point, but it’s not like Iraq invited us all over for a sit-down lamb and rice dinner. We invaded them. Picture, if you will, your home town being invaded by outsiders and having the males of your town locked up, stripped, forced to jerk each other off, and being chased by dogs while naked. You think you’d be a bit angry? In a related note, this in from :”…since January 2004, the number of sites that SurfControl considers hate and violence sites – or sites that promote hatred against , Muslims, Jews, homosexuals and people of non-European ancestry, as well as graphic violence – have risen by over 25 per cent. During all of 2003, the number of such sites was up by 30 per cent.”That’s right, if you didn’t know it before, we are a target of hate.. worldwide hate at that. Interesting to note that if the above paragraph was written here in the US, more than likely, it would list the targets of hate in the order of Blacks, Gays, and Jews, since those seem to be our favorites to hate and discriminate. Notice how The Register, a UK publication, lists Americans first.Something tells me that they didn’t plan it that way. I honestly think that, instinctively, the author listed Americans as the #1 answer on the board. Please cue the Family Feud theme.Okay, so I didn’t have to investigate anything having to do with the prisoners, but here’s what I did learn about some popular searches this week:Flash MX2004 is the latest version of Flash from Macromedia. In case you didn’t know, Flash is a tool to make all those fancy, newfangled, moving graphics you see on fancy-shmancy web pages. You can easily download Flash MX2004 illegally, but it won’t work unless you “crack” or “hack” the file. This piracy technique comes in at #39 this week. Yarr!Inayusha is a Japanese anime show or character or something, and he must be popular because he came in just above piracy at #38, just below “prom hairstyles” …which is kind of puzzling. At what point does a hairstyle go from “elegant” or “classy” to “prom?””Oh my GOD! I LOVE your hair! It’s soooooo prom!”
